A busy university environment presents challenges for people striving to create a healthy balance between their work and home lives. Research on the concept of dual-centric provides helpful guidance on strategies for balance. Studies show that people with a dual focus on work and family are less stressed and more successful than those whose primary focus is on just work, or just family. In this interactive workshop, we will review the strategies that dual focused people follow to achieve balance, and engage in related exercises. The strategies presented are relevant for singles as well as those with spouses and children.
This session is sponsored by Yale WorkLife, Working Women’s Network, Future Leaders of Yale, and the Office of the Provost.
