Event description:

Some stress is normal and even useful. Stress can help you react quickly and keep you out of harm’s way. However, in today’s world, we are constantly bombarded by stressors, such as work deadlines, traffic, and family obligations. We seldom get a break long enough to relax and ease away the stress. The over-activation of our stress hormones has been linked to high blood pressure, heart attacks, lower immunity, depression, anxiety, and more. The good news is that you can learn ways to reduce stress and diminish its harmful effects.

Some of the simplest tools are the most powerful. “Simple Solutions to Find and Keep Your Sanity” is about easy to implement lifestyle, attitude and behavior changes to help you recognize your stressors, recharge your batteries and rediscover sanity!

Diane Frankel-Gramelis is a Public Health Practice Manager at Yale University School of Public Health and an Adjunct Educator at Southern Connecticut State University for the past twenty-three years.
