Event Recap - Grove Street Cemetery Tours

October 27, 2016

During the month of October, more than 138 WWN members toured the grounds of the historic Grove Street Cemetery learning about the inhabitants and the history of this national historic landmark. For over 200 years, Grove Street has been the final resting place to scholars, artists, scientists, soldiers, inventors, politicians, businessman and regular citizens alike. For an hour,  participants were transported back in time from the American Revolution (with Founding Father Roger Sherman) to the Industrial Revolution (with Eli Whitney) and beyond. WWN was pleased so many members responded to the opportunity to discover if “The Dead Shall be Raised” at the Grove Street Cemetery.
