WWN Parental Leave Survey Results

July 31, 2017

We were very excited to receive 881 responses to the WWN parental leave survey this March.

While it has taken some time to go through the results and the many helpful and detailed comments, we are delighted to share the survey results here.

The WWN Advocacy Committee is using the results to craft a proposal of policy and procedure recommendations to share with Human Resources. At the same time, we are meeting with Human Resources’ newly created Absence Management Programs unit to share input. The Absence Management Programs unit is focused on streamlining processes for absences (leaves and workers’ compensation), and they are working on many enhancements including reference guides, training materials, and a website that they plan to release later this year and in 2018. We look forward to sharing updates about potential changes later in the year, and appreciate our members’ passion around this issue.
