The New Dad: A Portrait of Today’s Father

The WWN is encouraging members to attend this presentation to hear how the role women (particularly working mothers) in the workplace has been redefined over the last 25 year, and to learn the new role that dads have at work and at home. It is a fantastic opportunity for a gender role discussion. 

The New Dad: A Portrait of Today’s Father, the latest assessment of the changing role of fathers by the reveals the results of questions used in the research. Questions included:

  • Breadwinner, caregiver or both?
  • Are today’s dads more involved with his Kids?
  • Who does more, mom or dad?
  • Engaged dads, who benefits?
  • Do fathers flex?

The presenter for this talk will be Brad Harrington, Executive Director of the Boston College Center for Work and Family, and lead author for the study.
