The New Haven Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs Inc. has opened applications for their annual book award scholarship! The award is for graduating HS seniors in the Greater New Haven Area. Deadline to apply is: December 16, 2022 @6 pm EST.
Each year they are happy to award a deserving scholar a $4,000 scholarship to support the cost of books during their 4 year college journey. To date, The New Haven Club has awarded over $90,000 to deserving New Haven Area Scholars!
Eligibility requirements include:
1. Being accepted to a 4yr College or University
2. Being in the top ⅓ of your HS graduating Class
3. Positive contributions to the community
4. Letter of recommendation
5. A 500 word essay on the topic detailing detailing whether they think:
· Cell phones are a positive or negative in high school classrooms.
· What is the importance of community services?
· Explain why college is important to them.
