On June 10th, the Working Women’s Network hosted its first virtual Recognition Award Ceremony. Over 100 attendees from different parts of the country joined as we honored Ann DeLauro (Community Catalyst: a woman who leads in a volunteer capacity at Yale or through a Yale initiative), Asia Neupane (A Trailblazer: a woman who utilizes opportunities to customize a new career path at Yale), and Nikitia Tillman (A Heroine: a woman who advocates, mentors, or nurtures others at Yalefor their amazing contributions to the University.  These women symbolize the strengths, ambition, and kindness that is reflective in us all. There wasn’t a dry eye in the virtual house.

The WWN Recognition Award is an annual event that recognizes women from the Yale University community for their dedication to support working women, the University, and their colleagues.  Every year, the WWN sends out a request for nominations and we will continue to do so for the upcoming 20/21 academic year. If you know of a woman you feel should be considered don’t hesitate to nominate her.
