The Yale affinity groups are pleased to announce their support of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) building Lego competition held on Saturday, May 31st at 9 AM. The event will benefit the Christopher Columbus Academy in Fair Haven.
Lego sets are wonderful tools used to teach math and science to children of all ages. These specialized sets, known as STEM sets, are incredibly complex and can be used in infinite ways. The WWN, along with the other Yale affinity groups, will donate money towards the cost of the sets. After the competition is over and a winner has been chosen, the sets will be donated to the Academy to foster continued learning and engagement.
