Asian Network at Yale (ANY) and Working Women’s Network (WWN) continued their collaborative Women’s Leadership Series with Joliana Yee, Director of the Asian American Cultural Center at Yale and Assistant Dean of Yale College, on Monday, March 25. Joliana shared her personal and professional experiences, diving deep into issues such as growing up abroad in Malaysia; facing challenges as a first generation, international, Asian college student in the United States; and overcoming gender and identity-related roadblocks in her career. Joliana also touched upon changes happening at the university regarding diversity and challenges facing Asian and Asian American students today. The conversation was engaging and inspiring.
