Working Women’s Network Health & Wellness Series in partnership with the Yale Latino Networking Group hosted Turn Up the Pink! -an informational breast cancer awareness lunch on Friday, October 25th. Monique Stefanou, community health educator and lead health navigator for the Yale Cancer Disparities Firewall Project, engaged over 50 women, to discuss key health issues surrounding breast cancer and breast cancer awareness. Participants gained a wealth of information from Monique’s talk which included: breast health, recognizing the symptoms of breast cancer, the benefits of early detection, risk factors, screening, and diagnosis.
