Summer Social

August 31, 2019

The WWN held its Summer Social on June 11, and a great time was had by all. The social, which was a huge success, was held at Te-Amo (182 Temple St, New Haven) and attended by 95 people. The appetizers and drinks were amazing, and we would like to thank the owner and staff for helping us coordinate such a great start to the Summer.

WWN and ODI partnered with United Way to hold a drive at the social to benefit formerly homeless youth. A special thanks goes to everyone that participated in the drive. The attendees donated four boxes of products that will now be available to help the youth of this program turn their lives around.

Lastly, the social was also the last for Konstantza Popova as a WWN co-chair. Konstantza started her tenure with WWN as the chair of the Health Series subcommittee and then as co-chair of WWN; her term ended on June 30, 2019. Nandi Cummings (incoming co-chair) and Debbie Stanley-McAulay (Chief Diversity Officer) presented Konstantza with a plaque in gratitude for all of her years of service and for being such a great influence to WWN. Konstantza has agreed to stay on as the co-chair for the WWN Health Series subcommittee.

The WWN hosts many events throughout the year and a social event twice a year, stay tuned to your email for upcoming events.
