Please join Yale SOM’s Women in Management Club as we welcome three Yale and SOM alumnae to discuss their extensive backgrounds in the financial services industry: Diana Wagner ’95) from Capital Group, Jamila Abston ’17) from Ernst & Young, and Renee Greene ’21) from Goldman Sachs. The conversation will be moderated by SOM faculty members Alex Zentefis and Heather Tookes and will explore topics surrounding how to think about and navigate diversity, equity, and inclusion in finance.

Come explore Yale and downtown New Haven with your guide Shana Schneider, a Yale alumna, New Haven resident and certified group fitness instructor. You’ll get in your steps with these brisk walks and feel ready to focus when you’re back at work!

She’ll take you along paths and routes showcasing some of the updates around campus and share fun facts along the way. Walks will be approximately 45-50 minutes.

Space is limited and registration is REQUIRED.

The walk on Wednesday, June 29th will take place on Central Campus at Sterling Memorial Library, 120 High St.

Yale Schwarzman Center (YSC) is proud to host five-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, activist, and actor Angélique Kidjo Hon. Music ’15 and her daughter, actor, writer, and multinational performer Naïma Hebrail Kidjo ’15 for an intimate conversation about identity, belonging, forgiveness, and the power of family. This event coincides with the first leg of a global tour of the Kidjos’ new original music theater work, Yemandja.

The Yale School of Management and the David Geffen School of Drama are delighted to co-host renowned arts administrator Karen Brooks Hopkins, President Emerita of the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a talk on Wednesday, April 13th from 4:00—5:30 pm in the Beinecke Room (#2300), Evans Hall, 165 Whitney Avenue.
Karen’s talk will focus on the role of arts organizations in anchoring economic development. Karen will also draw from her recently published book, “BAM…and Then it Hit Me.” Light refreshments will be served.

Social innovator Dr. Sejal Hathi ’13 was inspired to pursue medicine as a career by her own patient experiences as teen. “I realized how critical health is to achieving self-actualization: that quality care is a foundational human right, because without it, no matter a person’s other resources, intellect, education, or talents, no individual can aspire to beyond her basic needs.” Join Sejal in a conversation about health as a requisite for self-actualization, social entrepreneurship, and global empowerment of women and girls.
