VIRTUAL: Understanding Today’s Intergenerational Workforce with Joy Baldridge

FLY is excited to partner with author and Certified Speaking Professional Joy Baldridge as she takes us on a journey to better understand today’s intergenerational workforce. In this interactive workshop, Joy will touch upon the 5 generations that make up our workforce today and how to be more authentic and inclusive in our diverse relationships.

Juneteenth New Haven 2023

Join The Descendants of the CT 29th Colored Regiment for their 7th Annual Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 17th at the CT Violence Intervention Program, 230 Ashmun Street, from 12-6 pm. The social wellness of all people of color is the inspiration of this year’s theme – Pan Africanism: Unified by History, Connected in Culture, and Focused on the Future.

VIRTUAL: Huneebee Project Information Session

Yale’s affinity groups are continuing the conversation around the importance of Board Membership in the Greater New Haven Region, featuring Huneebee Project.

Huneebee Project is a five-year-old business born right before the COVID-19 pandemic. This organization aims to build hives to cultivate social entrepreneurship with disinvested communities and those aging out of the foster care system. They use urban agriculture to invest in youth through building, creating, and cultivating lands to harvest and care for various species of bees.

VIRTUAL: Social Justice Event: Dr. Catherine Choy Talk and Q&A

Happy Asian American Pacific Islander Month! Join the Asian Network at Yale Social Justice Committee for a talk with Dr. Catherine Ceniza Choy, an award-winning Asian American historian and professor of ethnic studies at the University of California, Berkeley. The goal of this talk and Q&A is to further educate and spread awareness about Asian American history, ongoing anti-Asian violence, and to discuss efforts for making safer spaces on a community level.

Greater New Haven Heart Walk

Yale University, Yale Cardiovascular Medicine, and Yale New Haven Health have again joined forces as proud sponsors of the 2023 American Heart Association’s Greater New Haven Heart Walk! The Heart Walk is an opportunity to raise funds to support lifesaving research for heart disease and stroke.

Women’s Clothing Drive

Yale’s affinity groups and the New Haven Club-NANBPWC Inc are hosting a Women’s Clothing Drive through Monday, April 17th. All donations will be given to Life Haven Shelter for Women and La Casa Del Inmigrante to help support women succeed. Visit a donation location near you, or we are happy to pick up your donation.
